Sunset_Sunset • Stroud, ON (May 23, 2015)-  On Saturday night at Sunset Speedway, Eric Yorke would have a strong run as he would finish seventh in the 25-lap feature for the Graham Landscape Mini Stocks.

Yorke started off the night on a strong note, finishing seventh in his heat. With the APC Auto Parts United Late Models of Ontario Tour on hand, Sunset Speedway officials would not run the Dash for Cash or consolation races.

Come feature time, Yorke would start up near the front, running fourth on the drop of the green flag. He would watch as Warren Paxton, Miles Tyson and Jordan Howse went three-wide ahead of him for the lead, with contact being made. Howse would get a flat tire, bringing out the caution on lap three and moving Yorke up to the third spot.

Yorke would get a good restart to maintain his position, but was back under yellow a couple laps later as a result of a flat tire for Jake Watson. Back under green, Yorke would battle with Billy Melenhorst for the third spot, holding him off. He would continue to hold down the third spot till the third caution flag flew at lap 13 for a spin by Kendra Adams.  The restart wouldn’t go as Yorke would’ve hoped as he fell back to the fourth spot, being passed by Brandon McFerran. The caution would then fly three laps later as Adams went around once again.

On the restart, Yorke would fall back to the sixth spot, before falling two more spots to eighth as the faster cars made their way through the field. A couple of those faster cars would make contact while running three-wide for fourth, resulting in another caution with two laps to go and a flat tire for Andy Kamrath. As a result, Yorke would move up to the seventh spot.

Yorke would get a good final restart, holding off all challengers to finish the feature in the seventh spot.
