STAYNER, ON- Super Late Model standout Brandon Watson will be back in action with the ARCA/CRA Super Series this weekend, as he travels to Lucas Oil Raceway in Brownsburg, IN for the EDCO Welding 100 as part of the ‘Fall Brawl’ weekend.
“I’m looking forward to getting back on track with the ARCA/CRA Super Series”, says Watson. “We’ve had some solid runs the last couple of weeks, and it’s starting to feel like we’ve really turned a corner with our program”
After putting up frustrating numbers through the first half of the season, Watson has nailed down top-10 finishes in 2 of his last 3 starts with the tour.
“A lot of the speedways that we’ve been racing at this season are brand new to us”, explains the 2-time OSCAAR Super Late Model Tour champion. “There’s a huge learning curve when it comes to racing this tour, at these facilities, and we’ve definitely worked hard to overcome that through the second half of the season”
With an inaugural trip to the lauded Winchester 400 looming in the coming weeks, Watson hopes an impressive run at Lucas Oil Raceway this weekend will set the team up for the strong finish to the season they’ve been hoping for.
“It’s no secret that we haven’t had a dream season”, offers Watson, “but if we can finish the year on a high note, it will help to put a lot of the early frustration behind us”
“Lucas Oil Raceway is a fast track, and if we keep our head on straight, I think we’ll have a good car this weekend”, continues the third-generation star. “It’s a quick turnaround before Winchester in two weeks, so we can’t afford to tear anything up. A good finish this weekend will really set us up with some momentum before the Winchester 400”
