Brampton, Ontario (July 23, 2014) – Sportsman Drag Racers all over New York, Ontario, Quebec and even Alberta will be converging on Toronto Motorsports Park this weekend as the DSE Sportsman Series holds not only its third of six events in the series, but will also host the most prestigious NHRA Sanctioned event in Ontario, the NHRA Provincial Championships.
Designed to afford Local and Regional Sportsman Drag Racers the ability to compete for NHRA Sanctioned Championships without having to follow the Divisional or National tours, the NHRA State/Provincial Championships is single race, tournament style championship that is awarded to one drag racing facility in each State and Province in North America.
After hosting the Inaugural NHRA Ontario Provincial Championships in 2012, the event has returned to the DSE Automotive Sportsman Racing Series and Toronto Motorsports Park in 2014.
DSE and TMP officials expect this year’s edition to be biggest yet.
The classes that will be competing for the NHRA Ontario Provincial Championships at this event include Renegade Race Fuels Super Pro, Hill Racing/ATI Performance Products Modified, HeadsUpRacer.com Quick 16, Corriveau Concrete Forming Supplies Jr Dragster, Stefko Racing Engines Super Gas and DSEAutomotive.ca Super Bike/Sled.
As an added bonus the Provincial Championship winners in Super Pro, Modified and Super Gas will all be taking home $1000 for their victories, and combined with the $1100 to win in Quick 16, racers can expect to see the richest payout in the history of this event to date.
As well, 2013 winners of the NHRA Ontario Provincial Championships will receive a complimentary entry into the Saturday race if they choose to attend and defend their title during at the 2014 Edition of the event.

Gates for the Real Mortgage Associates/SteveHayward.ca NHRA Provincial Championships open Friday evening at 6 pm for early parking. The first of two Saturday qualifying/time trials for the Provincial Championships will begin at 11 am with Eliminations to follow.
Sunday will see DSE Points race number six start with qualifying at 11 am, again eliminations for that day will immediately follow the second qualifying round.
