HOMESTEAD, FL – Location Based Technologies, Inc. (OTCBB:LBAS), maker of the PocketFinder vehicle and personal GPS devices that allow others to “see” and track location information, announced today that the company will continue its NASCAR based awareness campaign with a doubleheader event for the NASCAR championship weekend at Homestead-Miami Florida.
For the final race events of 2013 season, Sprint Cup driver and 2011 NASCAR Nationwide Series “Rookie of the Year” Champion Timmy Hill will drive the #23 PocketFinder Chevrolet in the Ford Ecoboost 300 (NYSE:F) and two-time Canadian NASCAR series Champion DJ Kennington will drive the #84 Chevrolet in the Ford Ecoboost 200 with both events featured at Homestead-Miami Speedway.
“These races feature the best of the best and finalize the 2013 standings,” said Dave Morse, CEO of LBT. “LBT is proud to be partnered with NASCAR, DJ and Timmy in this weekend’s races at Homestead. Many NASCAR fans now have the ability to locate their cars, boats, RV’s, ATV’s and people that they love with the touch of a button from anywhere and at any time,” he added.
Race events including practice and qualifying laps will feature the PocketFinder vehicles and will be televised on ESPN and FOX Sports 1, as well as broadcast live on MRN radio and Sirius satellite channel #90.
“This weekend we are excited to again feature PocketFinder to NASCAR fans in our continued awareness campaign. We have Timmy and DJ back in the cars for a back to back effort to represent the company and their great tracking technologies. What race fan wouldn’t want to know where their car, truck, RV or toy was right from their phone?” stated Rick Ware.
