PETERBOROUGH, Ontario (September 1, 2021)— Originally scheduled to be at Autodrome Chaudiere doing the NASCAR Pinty’s Series broadcast, a postponement of their event to September allowed Dave Bradley to get behind the wheel of his midget at Peterborough Speedway on Sunday.

He made the most of the opportunity, scoring the Outlaw Midgets victory in the Nathan Ross Memorial.

Jody Bound won the first heat ahead of Dave Bradley, Lorne Van Dusen, Rob Harrison, and Wayne McKibbon, while Jessica James failed to finish.

Mike Bradley was victorious in the second qualifier in front of Larry Lawson, Kevin Spiez, Jamie Kay, and Zach Millman, while Richard Woodland failed to finish.

Dave Bradley won the third heat ahead of Jessica James, Lorne Van Dusen, Wayne McKibbon, and Rob Harrison, while Jody Bound failed to finish.

Richard Woodland was victorious in the fourth qualifier in front of Mike Bradley, Kevin Spiez, Jamie Kay, and Zach Millman, while Larry Lawson failed to finish.

Richard Woodland would break out to the early lead in the feature ahead of Dave Bradley, Mike Bradley, and Lorne Van Dusen, as Jody Bound and Kevin Spiez battled for fifth. Jessica James would then take Bound and Spiez three-wide a lap later, taking over the spot on Lap 4, bringing Jamie Kay and Rob Harrison through with her. Larry Lawson would then get by Bound for eighth on Lap 5, immediately challenging Harrison for seventh.

James continued to move forward, getting alongside Van Dusen for fourth on Lap 8, completing the pass a lap later as Kay continued to run sixth. There was shuffling further up the field, too, with Mike Bradley passing his brother Dave for second on Lap 11. Lawson ran seventh ahead of Harrison, Bound, McKibbon, and Spiez.

Mike Bradley would track down Woodland for the lead, getting by him on Lap 18 as they weaved their way through lap traffic. Woodland would challenge back for the top spot a lap later, with contact resulting in Bradley going around for the spin and the caution.

Inheriting the lead, Dave Bradley got a good restart ahead of Van Dusen, Lawson, Woodland, Kay, Spiez, and Harrison. Lawson would get by Van Dusen on Lap 23 for second, bringing Woodland and Kay through with him, as James headed off the track with a mechanical problem. Woodland would look to challenge Lawson for the second spot on the final lap, though was unable to complete the pass.

Dave Bradley scored the victory ahead of Larry Lawson, Richard Woodland, Jamie Kay, and Lorne Van Dusen. Rob Harrison finished sixth, followed by Wayne McKibbon, Jody Bound, Kevin Spiez, and Jessica James. Mike Bradley and Zach Millman rounded out the field.

The next event for the Outlaw Midgets will take place as part of Sunset Speedway’s Fall Velocity on Saturday, September 18.
