BOWMANVILLE, ON – This weekend (Aug. 23-25) NASCAR’s Gander Outdoors Truck Series returns to Canadian Tire Motorsport Park for its only Canadian appearance, the Chevrolet Silverado 250. Joining the trucks will be the NASCAR Pinty’s Series, Nissan Micra Cup, Canadian Touring Car Championship, and the Toyo Tires F1600 Championship.

This will no doubt be the biggest and busiest event of the season, with the roar of the NASCAR trucks and their close-contact, fender-rubbing race action as the main attraction.

Be sure to visit the paddock areas, located on the circuit infield at the north end near the start/finish straight. Access to all the paddocks except for the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series is included with your event ticket purchase.

Bring your marker, autograph book, and camera because you’ll have excellent opportunities to meet and speak with the drivers. You will have most success collecting autographs if you follow the proper etiquette: Go to the team’s transporter and ask one of the crew members what would be a good time to get the autograph. They’ll usually be happy to suggest when to come back if the driver isn’t currently available.

The NASCAR Gander Outdoors Trucks Series paddock is closed to the general public, but you’ll have an excellent opportunity to meet and talk to those drivers, too. Their autograph session will require a wrist band, as space is limited. Make sure you listen to the Track PA for information about when and where you can obtain one, and your opportunity to visit the Truck paddock.

For a great selection of race souvenirs, merchandise, and other cool items, our CTMP Merchandise Trailer is the place to go, located near the paddock restaurant area.
