BOWMANVILLE, ON (August 24, 2019) – Current NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series Playoff points leader, Brett Moffitt of Grimes, IA, turned the fastest lap in practice for Sunday’s Chevrolet Silverado 250 with a time of 1 minute, 19.540 sec. around the 3.957 km Canadian Tire Motorsport Park (CTMP) road course in the #24 CMR Construction & Roofing Chevrolet.

Top Canadian of the day was NASCAR PInty’s Series veteran DJ. Kennington of St. Thomas, ON, with the eighth best time in the 28-truck field aboard the #02 Lobas! Productions Chevrolet.

Qualifying for round two of the Gander Trucks Playoff Chase – and the only road course stop on the schedule – goes Sunday morning. The green flag drops at 2:30 pm for Sunday’s 64-lap Chevrolet Silverado 250.

A record seven Canadians will start the race, (including four NASCAR Pinty’s Series regulars). They are: Dan Corcoran, Stewart Friesen, DJ Kennington, Gary Klutt, Raphael Lessard, Alex Tagliani and Jason White.

In Pinty’s Series action for Sunday’s TOTAL Quartz 200, Saint-Eustache, QC’s Kevin Lecroix, winner of CTMP’s Pinty’s series race in May, took the pole. That 51- lap race goes Sunday morning.

Sunday tickets are just $60 at the gates, and admission is free for children 16 and under.
