Toronto, ON. March 16, 2017 – With a freshly announced new partnership with Pirelli Tire Canada, CTCC enters a new era. The change brings more than a new partner, it also brings new opportunities. Additional teams are joining the series and we are looking forward to seeing several new race cars this season including an Acura TLX, a Toyota GT86 and a number of BMW M235iR. CTCC presented by Pirelli is pleased to launch its new Championship season with the announcement of the 2017 racing schedule.

Our fans will be able to enjoy 14 Rounds over six events, equally divided between Québec and Ontario. Loyal to its tradition, CTCC will start the season at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park in May with the first double-header of the summer. Then, off to Calabogie Motorsports Park in June and Circuit ICAR in July for a one-day event, a first in the history of CTCC. Another first in the series’ book is a triple-header at Grand Prix de Trois-Rivières. Already an annual feature of the CTCC schedule, the triple-header will be quite challenging for the teams, but most spectacular for the fans.

A few weeks later, a second triple-header is scheduled for the Chevrolet Silverado 250 at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park. This September outing will be highly anticipated as it is the penultimate event of the season. Our grand finale will take place at Circuit ICAR at the end of September.

“This new season promises to be action-packed and you do not want to miss it,” states John Bondar, President of CTCC. “Early testing has shown the tire to be very fast and I can’t wait to see how the drivers adapt to the Pirelli Racing Slicks. Plus, both the NASCAR Camping World Truck event and GP3R have been highlights of our season for several years, and now as triple-headers, they will be even better.”
