DAYTONA BEACH, FL – The inaugural UNOH Battle At The Beach will feature unprecedented live flag-to-flag coverage as the showcase event for the NASCAR touring and weekly series Feb. 18-19 at Daytona International Speedway.

SPEED and the Motor Racing Network (MRN) will broadcast the feature races on Monday, Feb. 18 and Tuesday, Feb. 19 from “The World Center of Racing,” beginning at 7 p.m. ET each night. The MRN broadcast will also be streamed live at www.motorracingnetwork.com and carried by SiriusXM NASCAR Radio, channel 90.

The two days of competition during Speedweeks will include three non-points special events – featuring the NASCAR K&N Pro Series, the NASCAR Whelen Modified tours and the Late Model division of the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series. The racing will be contested on a .4-mile oval located on the Superstretch at DIS.

For the first time, NASCARHomeTracks.com – the official NASCAR.com site for the touring and weekly series – will host live streaming video of the practice rounds and heat races throughout each day leading up to the main events. Coverage will begin at 9 a.m. on Monday and 10:45 a.m. on Tuesday.

“From the drop of the green flag Monday morning for the first practice through the checkered flag Tuesday night on the final race, fans across the country and abroad will have an opportunity to follow all of the great short-track action in the first-ever UNOH Battle at the Beach at Daytona International Speedway,” said George Silbermann, NASCAR vice president, regional and touring series. “This one of a kind event features our series’ top drivers, including stars of tomorrow and a host of talented veterans. It’s fitting that as we break new ground with this event, we team with our great partners across television, radio and the internet to provide an unparalleled level of coverage.”

Race winners and series champions from the 2012 season earned locked-in spots into the respective series events. The remaining spots in each of the 34-car fields will be decided through heat races, and a last-chance race if necessary.

A top lineup of motorsports broadcasters will be on hand to call the action from the short-track at Daytona. For SPEED, that lineup includes:
* Monday: Bob Dillner (play-by-play) and Hermie Sadler (analyst) will be in the booth, with Ray Dunlap as the pit reporter.
* Tuesday: Mike Joy (play-by-play) and Larry McReynolds (analyst) in the booth for the Whelen Modified race, and Rick Allen (play-by-play) and Phil Parsons (analyst) in the booth for the K&N Pro Series race. Bob Dillner will be the pit reporter for both races.

For MRN, Kyle Rickey and Alex Hayden will be in the booth, with Steve Post covering the action in the turns. Pit reporters will be Woody Cain and Buddy Long.

The heat races, which will set the starting lineups for the evening’s racing, will be voiced by the team from Speed51.com: Bob Dillner, Matt Kentfield, Adam Mackey, and Elgin Traylor. The video stream of the practices will be voiced by public address announcer Ken Squier, the legendary NASCAR broadcaster, and Joe Coss, an announcer at Stafford (Conn.) Motor Speedway that has been voted the winner of DIS’s UNOH Battle At The Beach announcer search.

In addition, NASCARHomeTracks.com will debut “Race Central Live powered by Speed51.com,” which will provide real-time updates and photos from the Speed51 staff of reporters and photographers for the entire event.
