Lucan ON (May 3, 2017)- Approaching the Champion Season opener at Delaware Speedway May 12th, fourth year Ground Masters Super Stock driver Trevor Collver comes into the season with higher hopes then any season with the division. With a fourth place in the Opening Invitational Spring Nationals, confidence at an all-time high.
Collver comes into the season with renewed team stability, a new chassis, and a brand new look and colour scheme for 2017.
After three years with their original Super Stock chassis, a move to an updated version to help with adjustability will get the team to start with a clean sheet of paper. The work never stopped from the end of the 2016 season to now.
Inventory Express Automotive Lubricants out of London ON, returns for its 3rd year with Trevor Collver Motorsports and with their renewed commitment, the colour scheme will reflect the company colours. The #1 Camaro will be tough to miss with its bright hue of orange for this season.
Crew Chief Jim Pirie has the team dialed in. Working with Collver over pre-season testing, spoke highly of his drivers effort behind the wheel.
“He is really on it, he is super consistent. He is a new driver this year.” remarked Pirie after finishing a recent pre-season test at Delaware Speedway.
The Championship season opener for the Ground Masters Super Stocks at Delaware Speedway opens up open up on May 12th and will showcase the weekly divisions including Demar Aggregates Truck division and the Fire & Iron Custom Metal works Bone Stocks.
After testing and the Spring Nationals Invitational at Delaware, Collver says “It’s going to be really competitive this year, so many teams can win, and with all the work we put in, they’re going to know we’re here.”
Collver isn’t alone in the confidence department. Many of the Super Stock teams are all gunning for the top spot with the defending Champion moving to another division. The 2017 Championship can realistically go to one of about eight to ten competitors.
