GRIMSBY, ON- NASCAR Canadian Tire Series veteran Jeff Lapcevich will return from a near two-month long absence, in Round 3 of the 2014 season, at Circuit ICAR in Mirabel, Quebec for the fourth annual Jiffy Lube 100 presented by La Petite Bretonne.
In his last appearance, Lapcevich turned in a runner-up finish at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park, a feat that has kept the Fastline Motorsports driver motivated during his off-weeks.
“All this team has been doing is thinking about how we can follow up our performance at CTMP”, says Lapcevich. “My guys went above and beyond to give me a great piece that afternoon, and we absolutely drove the wheels of it. It’s something we’re definitely aiming to make a habit of”
An accomplished road course competitor, Jeff Lapcevich tallied a top-5 finish in his last visit to Circuit ICAR in 2013.
“ICAR is one of the most unique facilities I’ve had the pleasure of competing at”, explains the veteran. “It’s challenging, that’s for certain. It’s a driver’s racetrack. You have to be up on the wheel all the way around”
“We had a great run there last season in a chassis that, at the time, we were working hard to familiarize ourselves with”, continues Lapcevich. “At that point, our car was only two races old. Now that we’ve had a few more laps with it, I’m confident we’ll be able to put together an even better run this weekend”
Jiffy Lube 100 presented by La Petite Bretonne is scheduled for July 6th at Circuit ICAR. Gate times and ticket prices can be found at www.CircuitICAR.com
Jeff Lapcevich and the Fastline Motorsports team will carry marketing support from Tim Hortons, Castrol, Cathcart Trucking, Troy Cove Marine, EpicRacewear by OnePromo.ca and Springer’s Meats throughout the 2014 season.
