@targanl • ST. JOHN’S (February 7, 2017) – Targa Newfoundland is proud to announce that it will, for the fourth year in row, use the vehicles of Centsible Car & Truck Rentals to transport officials and volunteers for the Sweet Sixteen (16th annual) Targa Newfoundland event, with scheduled activities from September 7th – 16th, 2017.

An addition to the agreement this year are special rates for Targa competitors who wish to rent vehicles from Centsible. Competitors and their service crews would use such rentals for transport to and from car shows or following the event throughout eastern and central Newfoundland in support of competitors in case of breakdown or incidents.

The partnership, which began in 2014, will continue with the use of several makes of hatchbacks, sedans, and vans. Each vehicle will be assigned to assist Targa personnel with their duties and special assignments, that will utilize each vehicle to its maximum potential.

Derek Thomas, General Manager of Centsible Car & Truck Rentals, is extremely proud to have the Centsible logo on each rental vehicle that it provides to Targa’s management and volunteer teams, and is excited about the special rates offered to competitors, which should increase business for Centsible.

“Targa is a professional motorsports event and we really like how the volunteers use our vehicles to represent that fact while performing their tasks,” stated Derek. “We had a great experience with Targa the last few years and we didn’t hesitate to continue being a partner with them in 2017, their Sweet Sixteen event. The addition of the competitor special is an element we are excited about, and feel it’ll increase our business from the event even more. Being locally owned and operated, supporting a home-grown event such as Targa Newfoundland is something we are proud to do.”

Darren Sheppard, General Manager of Targa Newfoundland, is very pleased with the service that Centsible has provided Targa over the previous events.

“Dealing with Derek and his knowledgeable staff is a pleasure,” explained Darren. “They have always been quick with answers and provide professional service to our officials and volunteers when picking up and dropping off the vehicles, which I’m sure will carry over to competitors who use their vehicles. The fact they are locally owned and operated is an added bonus and we look forward to another great year working together.”
