CALGARY, ON (October 2, 2018)- Canada’s Best Racing Team (CBRT) hit the track at Jukasa Motor Speedway near Hamilton, Ontario for the final round of the 2018 NASCAR Pinty’s Series this past Saturday night.

With drivers Brett Taylor, Larry Jackson and team General Manager Joey McColm all participating in the race it made for a busy and title-winning wrap up to the season.

Rookie driver Brett Taylor in his #46 CBRT/Barrie Chrysler Dodge was out to complete his mission of winning the 2018 Joston’s Rookie of the Year title. The CBRT crew had found some areas they felt would improve the car for the final event of the season and were anxious to hit the track.

While the #46 CBRT/Barrie Chrysler Dodge was better in some areas according to Taylor he was adjusting to a different feel of how the car handled. Taylor would line up 14thfor the 200-lap feature event while Jackson and McColm would start further back in the field.

It was a feisty final event of the year with drivers battling for every inch on the racetrack. Jackson would retire early and McColm would be forced out a little after halfway with mechanical issue. An undaunted CBRT group put their full power behind Taylor and his #46 CBRT/Barrie Chrysler Dodge the rest of the night.

Though he would go down a lap near the midpoint of the event, the #46 CBRT/Barrie Chrysler Dodge driver got back on the lead lap later in the race with the free pass following a caution period. After that Taylor used all his skills and stayed there and closed out the season with a 12th place finish. This was good enough to earn him his sixth rookie of the race awards and complete the job of winning the Joston’s Rookie of the Year Award.

For CBRT General Manager Joey McColm it was a highlight of the 2018 season.

“We saw the potential with this group right away” he said. “Brett finished top-ten in the first two races and worked his butt off all year along with the rest of the guys, they earned this and I’m happy for them” he added.

McColm was also happy with some of the other CBRT accomplishments during the 2018 campaign.

“Our drivers picked up nine top-ten finishes this year and to be that consistent with rotating drivers says a lot about this team and their dedication. We’ve clearly got some momentum and we’ll be ready to take the next step forward in 2019 and have some plans we’re looking to implement” he added.

Canada’s Best Racing Team wishes to thank their loyal fans for there kind and generous support all season long and they look forward to returning to competition in the 2019 season. For the latest info & team updates follow @CBRTeams on Instagram and Facebook.
