VALLEE-JONCTION, QC(June 12, 2022) Bryan Cathcart and the #71 Cathcart Dodge team fought through the field at Autodrome Chaudière this past weekend in the Qwickwick 250.

This was Cathcart’s first ever run at Chaudière, and it lived up to its expectation of hard racing.

Cathcart did not have the strongest run qualifying but felt the car would race well, starting in the 21st position. Unfortunately, he was never able to find out the true lengths of the #71 Dodge as he was turned by the #96 car just before lap 20 which left him a lap down from the field.

The #71 Dodge team persevered and battled the rest of the night to stay in the fight, however losing a lap early on surely made for a frustrating night. Nonetheless, the team kept their spirits up for the duration of the race and Cathcart was able to gain five spots. Thus, making for a 16th place finish after a tough night on the oval.

Bryan Cathcart Quotes:
“That move by the #96 was unnecessary. I was giving plenty of room to the outside and he just got impatient. It’s disappointing for the whole team. We never really got the opportunity to have the race we expected”.
“These guys worked super hard and they’re keeping their heads up and I really appreciate their effort. On to Newfoundland!”

Next Up:
Bryan Cathcart and the #71 Cathcart Dodge team will travel to Eastbound International Speedway for the first ever Pinty’s Series event in Newfoundland on Saturday June 25th.
