This past weekend, Canadian Motorsport Hall of Fame member Leone Slack passed away. Mrs. Slack and her husband Bob owned and operated Ontario’s Cayuga Speedway during the stock car track’s glory years, regularly hosting NASCAR stars and massive events. The Slacks are still a prominent family in Canadian and international motorsports. Bob and Leone Slack were inducted into the CMHF in 2002. Inside Track offers its condolences to the family and friends of Mrs. Slack.
The photos on this page were taken by Dave Franks on Sept. 3, 2006. The event was a CASCAR Super Series race at Cayuga Speedway. The Slacks were honoured prior to the race for their contributions to Cayuga Speedway and Canadian Motorsports.
