@Sunset_Speedway • INNISFIL, Ontario (September 5, 2015) — Knowing that he needed to put in the best string of finishes possible to help close the gap on the championship, Cameron McGlashan was perfect on Saturday night in pulling off the hat trick.
McGlashan started off the night by winning his heat, followed by a win in the fast qualifier’s dash after a late-race duo with Stefan Semeraro.
Starting the feature from the sixth spot, McGlashan quickly moved up into third, and then would pass Semeraro to move into second at lap four. McGlashan would then catch McLean for the lead, and the pair would battle back and forth with contact between the pair. McGlashan would then put the No. 83 England Enterprises, ORVauto, Taylor Drywalling & Taping, Express Yourself Décor Mustang out front on lap 10.
The rest of the feature was all McGlashan as he led the rest of the laps en route to scoring the victory. It marks his third feature victory in his rookie season.
McGlashan will return to Sunset Speedway on September 14 for the final points night of the season in search of more success. With the points being close between him and fellow rookie Treyten Lapcevich, it’ll be a fun battle to watch right down to the final laps.
