STROUD, ON (May 15, 2018)- Making his first start of the 2018 campaign at Sunset Speedway, Cameron McGlashan would see some highs and lows along the way.
McGlashan showed speed right out of the gate, placing fourth in his pair of qualifiers.
The invert would then work in his favor for the feature, as he would be awarded the pole for the 25-lap affair. He would pace the first 10 laps, before being passed for the lead by Warren Paxton as the caution came out for a spin in turn two. Restarting second with 14 laps to go, he battled side-by-side for the top spot, getting sideways off of turn four, which caused him to drop back to sixth.
He would then get into a battle side-by-side with Mike Meyer at Lap 16, with the pair making contact, resulting in the front of the No. 83 Mustang coming off the ground, breaking a wheel-bearing in the process. McGlashan would retire pit side shortly thereafter, done for the event, credited with an 11th-place finish.
