STROUD, ON (August 15, 2017)- Starting deep in the field for the 25-lap feature, Cameron McGlashan was able to make his way through the traffic en route to a top-10 finish.
McGlashan started off the night by showing speed, posting a victory in his first heat. However, he’d fail to a make a lap in the second qualifier as a result of throttle linkage issues.
Starting 18th for the feature, he began to make his way forward immediately, running 16th as of the first caution at Lap 1. He then continued to move his way forward, battling for the 10th position on Lap 9. From there, he continued to move forward, battling for seventh at Lap 18, getting the spot ahead of Stefan Woyslaw one lap later. From there on, he tried to track down the top-six but was unable to do so through the lap traffic, crossing the line in the seventh position.
McGlashan Motorsports are set to compete at Sunset Speedway on Saturday, August 19 as part of the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series competition.
