@CameronNHayley •@ThorSport •@RIDETV •@NASCAR •#NASCAR trucks •@PhoenixRaceway •Sandusky, OH (November 10, 2016)- Cameron Hayley, dfriver of the No. 13 RIDE TV Toyota Tundra in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series prepares for the Lucas Oil 150 at Phoenix International Raceway, Race No. 22 of 23 on the NCWTS schedule
Team Information:
Crew Chief: Eddie Troconis
Manufacturer: Toyota
Engine: Triad Racing Technologies
2016 Driver Points: 11th
2016 Owner Points: 12th
Sounding Off – Cameron Hayley:
“Last year we had a really good Toyota Tundra at Phoenix. We were really fastest in practice and started sixth. I ran inside the top-five until I had to pit for a flat tire, which put us a lap down. We were able to get our lap back, but then I got a penalty for changing lanes too soon on a restart. We went to the tail-end of the field, but I was able to work my way back to 11th. We were really good, just struggled in the race a little bit. I think Eddie (Troconis, crew chief) has a good handle on how our truck has been on these flat, short tracks, all year so I think we’ve got a good piece coming to Phoenix this weekend.”
News & Notes:
Chassis Chatter…The No. 13 ThorSport Racing team will unload chassis No. 61 for Friday night’s Lucas Oil 150 at Phoenix International Raceway (PIR). This was a brand new chassis for 2016, and made its debut at New Hampshire Motor Speedway earlier this season. Hayley started eighth, ran consistently inside the top-10, and finished 19th due to a green-flag, late-race pit stop for a loose right-front wheel.
Phoenix Profile… Hayley will make his second start at PIR on Friday night. In his debut at the 1-mile oval, the ThorSport Racing driver started sixth, ran as high as third, and finished 11th.
Phoenix Pit Stop… Hayley will join teammate Ben Rhodes, and fellow NASCAR drivers Joey Gase, and Brendan Gaughan at Carl T. Hayden VA Medical Center on Thursday morning in advance of Friday night’s Lucas Oil 150 at PIR. All four drivers will pay tribute to those who have honorably served our country and endured injury and illness. The drivers will participate in a guided tour of the facility, meet and greet with wounded warriors in recovery, and sign autographs.
Rearview Mirror – Texas…Making his fifth NCWTS start at the 1.5-mile Texas Motor Speedway, Hayley started 17th, ran as high as sixth, and finished 10th in the 147-lap event.
