MORDEN, MB (June 16, 2013)- Roland Bernard celebrated Father’s Day by continuing his winning ways, as he racked up his second Northern Lightning Sprint Association victory of 2013 at Morden’s ALH Motor Speedway on Sunday evening.
The three-time NLSA points champion gave no indication that he is slowing down with another impressive performance, sweeping both the heat race and the Lightning Sprint feature.
In heat race action, Bernard’s #2 Lightning Sprint started in fifth place and charged to the front, while seventh place starter Chris Unrau (#27) worked his way up the field to a second place finish.
In the feature, the third row appeared to be the right place to be. Starting from fifth place, Roland Bernard passed race leader Chris Unrau for the win while runner up Murray Temple started in sixth place.
Rounding up the Top 5 were Roland Bernard, Murray Temple, Chris Unrau, Brent Steg and Al Giesbrecht.
