Ben Silliker to run Speed Sport Outlaw Challenge in North Carolina

Ben Silliker and TEam Silco will take their winning tradition to the Speed Sport Outlaw Challenge in North Carolina

GRAND PRAIRIE, ALBERTA – Team Silco Racing driver Ben Silliker will get an opportunity of lifetime next week, as we was invited to race at Millbridge Speedway on Wednesday night as part of the Speed Sport Outlaw Challenge in the Charlotte , North Carolina area.

This event will be televised on MAVTV.  World of Outlaw Sprint Car legend Steve Kinser was just recently named Grand Marshall for this inaugural event, and several other WoO drivers will be on hand such as Joey Saldana and Paul McMahan.

Team Silco will arrive in Charlotte this coming Monday and will begin preparation with the QRC Factory Kart team that invited Silliker to the Millbridge Speedway special event.  Ben will hit the track on Tuesday night for practice in the Black Dog Drilling & Environmental, QRC Outlaw Kart.  Former NASCAR Sprint Cup Crew Chief Jimmy Elledge will oversee the QRC preparations.  Black Dog Drilling & Environmental will accompany Team Silco on the trip to North Carolina.

Before they head to North Carolina, Team Silco has some West Coast racing planned for this weekend.  Team Silco drivers Ben Silliker, Alex Silliker and Liam Ryan will compete in Cage Karts at Williamette Speedway in Lebannon, Oregon.  Ben and Liam will also race on Saturday evening at Banks Speedway near Portland, Oregon with their 600cc Sprint.  On Sunday, the team will travel back to Langley, BC and Ben will join the back of the field after missing qualifying for the Quarter Midget A-mains.

Immediately following the Speed Sport Outlaw Challenge in Charlotte, Team Silco will return to the West, with a busy schedule planned.  On Thursday and Friday they will test the Quarter Midget at Langley, getting ready for the second race in the Region 9 Series.
