Colborne, ON (September 18, 2015)- Drivers can learn a lot through the different stages of their racing careers. Colborne, Ontario’s Bailey Brown brought an impressive resume – including multiple checkered flags and division titles with the Kawartha-Durham Kart Club – into her tenure with the INEX Ontario Legends Series.

After finishing 14th in the final 2014 point standings, the talented teenager was looking forward to bigger and better things once the 2015 schedule left the starting blocks.

A student at Brighton’s East Northumberland Secondary School, Bailey Brown had a busy spring, summer and fall at the speedways across the province. When not racing herself at tracks like Peterborough and Sunset Speedways, she was wearing a headset and taking a place in the spotter’s stand to provide very insightful information and guide her father’s efforts on the inaugural APC Pro Late Model Tour.

Linc Brown’s season was highlighted by a fourth place showing – Saturday, July 18 – at Peterborough Speedway. Bailey says that part of her year was a great learning experience, but her personal goal is to develop as a driver.

“There’s a big speed difference between the go kart and a Legends car,” admitted the 16 year-old driver. “Things can happen so much faster out there and it’s very easy to get caught-up in someone else’s trouble. Everyone is so helpful and understanding no matter what happens on the track. I think I need to be more patient when I’m in the car and not so hard on myself when things don’t go the way I hoped. It’s a very competitive series and I’m thankful to have this opportunity.”

Even though she missed a couple races early in the season, Bailey Brown again finished 14th in the final 2015 standings. Considering that close to 40 different drivers scored points during the year, that’s something to build on heading into the next season.

The year for Linc Brown’s Pro Late Model came to an end with a hard crash at the Sunday, August 23 event at Sunset Speedway. Problems with the car’s rear braking system caused contact with the retaining wall, resulting in substantial damage. Although disappointed by the result, the driver was checked by track medical personnel and released.

Linc Brown Motorsports would like to thank sponsors Kawartha Metals Corporation, Don Butt Auto Body, Belleville Transmission & Auto Service, Mayhew Graphics, Rousseau Publications, Milner Financial Planners & Insurance Brokers and Clarke Motorsports Communications for their support of the #99 Pro Late Model and INEX Ontario Legends teams throughout the 2015 season.
