June 16, 2013- There was no racing this weekend as Auto Clearing Motor Speedway was a victim of the rain that has held the entire province hostage the last several days. Friday’s race card featuring the Budget Street Stocks,
the SKL Trailer Pro Trucks and Brock Salvage Thunder Stocks has been moved to Wednesday June 19 at 7:00 p.m.

This gives us a chance to look at points standings at this early juncture in the season

In the PartSource Mini Stock Division, the driving duo of Tristan Ransom and Dennis Beck with the #13 Saskatoon Sports Car Club BMW hold a 15 point lead over the #17 J + S Cabinets Honda Civic of Jared Reddekopp. The driving team of Clay Wagner and Robin Boomsma are another five points in the #95 Five Star Plumbing, Heating and Air Conditioning Neon.

Mike Rea sits atop the Brock Salvage Thunder Stock division in his #18 Daou Auto Monte Carlo. Ryan Fredrickson is 12 points back in the #22 Globe Excavating Impala. Floyd Ransom holds down third with the #7
Ranco Manufacturing Inc. Caprice.

A solid showing by the #44 Ridge Riders Roofing Monte Carlo of Craig Katelnikoff has him sitting atop the Budget Street Stock division, 16 points ahead of Brad Wrennick in his #88 Access 2000 Elevator & Lift Cutlass. Two points out is Todd Pluhator in the #15 Camaro.

The SKL Trailers Pro Truck Division has the tightest race going with five points separating the top three. Neil Schneider sits at 193 point in the #93 Burco Electric Tundra. Ken Ross is three points back in the #67 Grace Beyer Remax Silverado. It’s only another two points rookie Aaron Anderson in the #19.

Trent Seidel had a great start in the season opener, but Jim Gaunt’s performance in the Interstate Battery 150 propelled him into first place once local points were divvied out in the WSSL Auto Parts Super Late Model Division. Jim sits atop the field in the #55 Sky Financial Impala at 103 points. Trent Seidel is six points back in the #70 Elance Steel SMP Camaro. It’s another 19 points to Glen Hertzke in third with the SPI Security Impala.

The Midwest Combustion Sportsman, Saskatoon Bobcat Sask Legends and the Super Trucks have each run only one race so we’ll look at their points another time.
