FREDERICTON, NB – (March 9th, 2021) – The Atlantic Modified Tour is excited to unveil their 2021 schedule. The New Brunswick based tour, which enters its 19th season, will contest a total of 14 events from May to October with 12 of those contributing to the 2021 championship. The Atlantic Modified Tour will visit all four paved oval tracks in the Province of New Brunswick over their upcoming season.

The 2021 season kicks off Victoria Day Weekend with the first of four visits to Petty International Raceway. The high banked bullring will play a critical role in determining a Series Champion as three of the last five point races will be hosted at the River Glade, New Brunswick oval. The late season races at Petty International Raceway will be hosted on Saturday, August 28th, Saturday, September 11th and Friday, September 17th.

A home base to many Atlantic Modified Tour teams, Speedway Miramichi will hold four races on the championship season in 2021. The Modifieds will join the regular stock car racing and demolition divisions on June 19th, July 10th, August 7th, and the championship finale on October 2nd. Yves McCray (Neguac, NB) clinched the 2020 Atlantic Modified Tour Championship with a victory in the Keswick Kitchen Season Finale at Speedway Miramichi last October.

Speedway 660 will see the cars and stars of the Atlantic Modified Tour visit on three weekends in 2021 for a total of five races. The first visit for the Series takes place on Saturday, June 26th for the third race of the 2021 season. The first of two double header weekends will take place on Saturday, July 31st and Sunday, August 1st when the Tour will race two point races in less than 24 hours. The Atlantic Modified Tour will race twice on SpeedWeekend 2021, including a non-point race at the SpeedWeekend Teaser event on Friday, September 3rd and on the undercard to the Pro Stock 250 on Sunday, September 5th.

Following the championship finale on October 2nd in Miramichi, the Series will host a non-points event at the Shediac CENTRE For Speed on Sunday, October 10th. This is the first time the Series has visited the track located in Grand-Barachois, New Brunswick since 2014, when Ryan Messer (Harvey, NB) wrapped up his first Tour championship. The non-point exhibition will take place during the Atlantic Stock Car Championship weekend.

The 2021 schedule is subject to change without notice. With COVID-19 and travel restrictions related to the pandemic still prevalent in the region as of press time, teams are urged to keep tabs of AtlanticModifieds.com and all Series social media for any updates or changes, as required, ahead of the season opener on May 23rd.
