(September 30, 2021)-Track conditions might be different and the competition could be stronger, but anytime a racer visits a track as a big event’s defending champion, they’re only thinking about one thing. Doing it again.
Last year, Adam Turner left the Northeast Fall Nationals at Brockville Ontario Speedway after celebrating wins in the Street Stock and Vintage Modified feature races. Even though the 2021 edition of the season-ending spectacular is still a few weeks away, the second-generation Prince Edward County racer is getting ready for the chance to do it again.
“I’d be lying if I said the thought hadn’t crossed my mind,” admitted the likeable father of three. “Anyone who knows me is familiar with my willingness to drive just about anything. I’ve always had some strong runs in marquee events, so I’m anxious to get back out there and have some fun at The BOS.”
Adam Turner got some additional experience hopping from car-to-car during the Applefest Shootout Weekend. Friday, September 24 he was fifth in the Vintage Modified and sixth in the Thunder Stock. The next night, he finished a strong fourth in the Late Model and added win in the Thunder Stock feature. The 38-year-old thanks his sponsors, family and friends for everything they do to support his racing ventures.
Marc Surprenant and the team from Surprenant Truck Shop have offered $2000 in bonus money that will see $500 added to the winner’s payday of the Street Stock and Mini Stock features, as well as each day’s Action Sprint Tour ‘A’ main. Track flaggers Nate and Gary Vandermeer are putting-up $1000 to be added to the Modified and Sportsman race purses. Gary will be retiring after the race and his son will become the primary flagger.
To comply with provincially required COVID-19 contact tracing, advance tickets can be ordered now using the link on the schedule page of the track website. As an outdoor attraction, vaccination passport regulations do not apply, but face masks are required.
