Action Packed Week Lined Up For Atlantic Cat 250

Halifax, NS –(August 7, 2017) The Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour and Scotia Speedworld have four exciting events lined up as part of Atlantic Cat 250 week celebrations! Fans have lots to look forward to this week as they will have an opportunity to mingle with their favourite drivers, take in a car show and some delectable eats, catch 150 laps of high octane Sportsman racing and of course it all culminates with the 18th running of the Atlantic Cat 250 on Saturday.

The Atlantic Cat 250 Driver Meet & Greet kicks off the week-long celebrations! On Wednesday, August 9th from 6-8pm fans can get up close and personal with the stars of the Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour and the CARSTAR Weekly Racing Series. The FREE event is being hosted at Atlantic Cat located at 175 Akerley Blvd, in the Burnside Industrial Park. This event is open to the public – EVERYONE is welcome!

Pro Stock Tour drivers slated to appear are two-time Series champion Shawn Turple, multi-time feature and Cat 250 winner (2014) Craig Slaunwhite, Exide Batteries Rookie of the Year contenders Jarrett Butcher and Nicholas Naugle, Series veteran Daryl Mahar, reigning Series champion and 2016 Cat 250 winner Cole Butcher, five-time Series champion John Flemming and three-time winner this season and current point leader Dylan Blenkhorn.

The Friday night CARSTAR Weekly Racing Series is slated to be represented by Affordable Fuels Sportsman feature winners Jordan Veinotte, Russell Smith Jr and Matt Vaughan, Strictly Hydraulics Legend drivers Wayne Nichols and Andrew Lively, Pulse Heavy Duty Truck star Megan Parrott and Hydraulics Plus Bandolero driver Owen Mahar. If you ever wanted one-on-one time with your favourite Parts for Trucks Pro Stock and CARSTAR Weekly Racing Series drivers, this is your event!

Thursday, August 10th from 4-10pm Scotia Speedworld is hosting their First Annual Food Truck Rally and Show & Shine. The inaugural event will feature nine popular food trucks, antique car show & shine, beer garden, live DJ, and FanZone! Tickets for the First Annual Food Truck Rally and Show & Shine are $5.00, CAT 250 weekend pass holders will get in for free! Let’s Eat Beer, Cheese Curds, Ol’School Donuts, Halifax Footlongs are just a few of the trucks who will be attending.

Friday, August 11th at 7pm don’t miss the longest Sportsman race in recent Scotia Speedworld history! The Affordable Fuels Sportsman will battle on the oval for 150 laps with $1000 going to the Victor! Joining the Affordable Fuels Sportsman are the Hydraulics Plus Bandoleros, Toursec Thunder & Lightning, Pulse Heavy Duty Trucks who will all run features only to accommodate the extended distance Sportsman race. Adult tickets are $15.00, Youth $5.00 and children 7 and under are free. (Weekend passes available see below)

Saturday, August 12th at 5pm the cars and stars of the Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour will compete in the 18th edition of the prestigious Atlantic Cat 250! Don’t miss a minute of this high-horsepower experience as teams battle for their piece of the $60,000 purse and contingency funds and the opportunity to engrave their name on the Scott Fraser Memorial Cup. Fans will also get an opportunity to meet some of the cast of the hit television show The Curse of Oak Island during the autograph session! Tickets for the Atlantic Cat 250 are $35.00 for adults, youth (8-15yrs) $10.00, children 7 and under are free. Pit admission for those 18+ is $40.00.

Weekend passes for the Affordable Fuels Sportsman 150 and the 18th Annual Atlantic Cat 250 are $45.00 for pit admission, $40.00 grandstands.

The Atlantic Cat Driver Meet & Greet is a FREE event. All other tickets will be available at the gates on event day. (Cash only)
