Milverton, ON, (Wednesday May 29, 2019): The first oval track event on the NASCAR Pinty’s Series 2019 schedule takes place this weekend at Jukasa Motor Speedway. The APC200 will be 200 laps of action-packed racing on Saturday June 1st at the newly renovated and repaved 5/8th mile facility.

Donald Theetge driver of the #24 Mercedes-Benz St. Nicolas/Circuit Acura entry looks to get back in the winners circle after notching his first win in the NASCAR Pinty’s Series in 2018 at Wyant Group Raceway. With two 2nd place finishes and leading 171 laps here, Theetge is looking to move up to the top step of the podium this year.

Marc-Antoine Camirand will again pilot the #22 GM Paille Chevrolet in his first oval start of the 2019 season. Camirand who is known as a road racer showed everyone that he is a force to be reckoned with on the ovals as well when he posted his first NASCAR Pinty’s Series win in 2018 at Autodrome St. Eustache. In his second full season of full-time competition in the series with 22 Racing, Camirand is also looking to be in the winners circle again in 2019. In two previous starts here he has finished 4th and 7th.

Alex Tagliani driving the #18 Rona/EpiPen entry will make his fourth start at new Jukasa Motor Speedway this weekend. In his previous starts here Tagliani has shown results of 3rd and 6th. He posted two wins in 2018 both coming on road courses at Grand Prix de Trois Rivieres and Canadian Tire Motorsport Park in the August event. He is looking to get back into the win column on the ovals this year starting with Jukasa this weekend.

The NASCAR Pinty’s Series practice session takes place at 1:30 p.m. followed by group qualifying at 4:40. The on-track autograph session takes place at 6:45 and the green flag waves for the start of the APC 200 at 8 p.m.
