Milverton, ON – (Friday, September 2, 2022) – The NASCAR Pinty’s Series is returning to one of the most historic and well known racing venues in Ontario for the final road course race of the 2022 season.

The WeatherTech 200 will take place on Sunday, September 4, at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park, just 30 minutes north of Bowmanville. The 2.459-mile road course with 10 turns is sure to host another exciting race!

Entering the race weekend Alex Tagliani sits third in points and Treyten Lapcevich sits fifth. With only two races remaining in the hunt for the 2022 NASCAR Pinty’s Series championship both drivers are looking to gain some points to bring them closer to the lead.

In his first-ever visit to CTMP in 2021 Lapcevich finished third, and on the earlier visit to the track this year he took home sixth. Lapcevich is eager to get back to the track and is looking for another solid finish with his No. 20 FBM / RGC Sports / Qwick Wick Chevrolet Camaro.

Alex Tagliani has a multitude of experience racing on road courses. He previously won at CTMP in 2018 and finished second in 2021. When visiting the track in May 2022, he came just short again, finishing second. Tagliani is coming back on a mission to secure that top spot with his No. 18 Viagra / St Hubert Chevrolet Camaro.

The race weekend kicks off with practice on Saturday, September 3rd at 1:00 p.m, followed by qualifying taking place from 5:05 p.m. to 6:05 p.m.. On Sunday, September 4th autograph session will run from 11:00 a.m. – 11:45 a.m., with the WeatherTech 200 going green at 1:05 p.m..
