Milverton, ON, Thursday June 22, 2017 – 22 Racing have entered two teams at Autodrome Chaudiere in Valle-Jonction Quebec for tomorrows CRS Express 300. This is event #3 on the 2017 NASCAR Pinty’s Series schedule originally planned for June 17th but postponed due to inclement weather.
Alex Tagliani will be behind the wheel of his #18 EpiPen/Lowes/St-Huberts Dodge following up on his strong second place finish in the Fast Eddie 250 at Delaware on June 3. Tagliani piloted his entry to a third place finish in last year’s CRS Express 300 here and should be a strong contender for the win. In three events at Autodrome Chaudiere, Tagliani has posted two top five finishes.
Another candidate for that win will be Donald Theetge who will again be behind the wheel of the #22 Mercedes-Benz St-Nicolas/Circuit Acura/Auto Frank et Michel entry. Theetge in his first start for 22 Racing here in 2016, notched a strong run finishing fourth after qualifying fifth and starting at the rear of the field after an issue with the car was discovered when it was on the starting grid. Theetge hopes to get back to his front runner status this week after a bad outing at his debut at Delaware Speedway on June 3. In Theetges three starts with 22 Racing he has one pole and one top five finish.
Autodrome Chaudiere is a NASCAR Home Track sanctioned facility and it is located south of Quebec City/Levis. The CRS Trucking 300 will consist of 300 laps on the 0.25-mile banked asphalt oval with a competition caution at or around the 150-lap mark as there is no pit road.
