LONDON, ON – The APC United Late Model Series will once again make its way across Ontario in 2022, making stops at four familiar tracks and returning to one track for the first time since 2018. The nine-race tour will get started at Innisfil, Ontario’s Sunset Speedway on Saturday, May 21st and will bounce around the province throughout the summer before crowning its champion at Delaware Speedway in September.

The 2022 schedule will see no back-to-back weekends and the tour will also enjoy a late summer break before crowning its 2022 champion on September 24th. As the series typically does, it will once again kick-off its 2022 campaign on the high banks of Sunset Speedway on Saturday, May 21st before heading to Flamboro Speedway on June 4th. The two opening rounds of the tour offer teams completely different challenges before heading to the third race of the season, the track dubbed ‘Canada’s Toughest 1/3 Mile’, Peterborough Speedway.

For several years, race fans and teams alike have lobbied for an APC Series return to Peterborough Speedway. In 2022, the tour will return to the tight confines of the 1/3-mile track for the first time since 2018 on Saturday, June 18th. The APC Series will head to Delaware Speedway for the fourth round of the season and a new racing surface will be waiting for the Pro Late Models when they arrive. Delaware Speedway has seen many upgrades including a repaving of the racing surface following the 2021 season, and the Canada Day event will be the first time back to the ½ mile track for the tour since the new surface was laid down.

The second half of the tour will see the teams return to Flamboro Speedway on Saturday, July 16th for the fifth race of the tour. The sixth race takes place on Saturday, July 30th at Sauble Speedway for the first of two trips to the beach in 2022. Sunset Speedway’s late season race will see the tour return on Saturday, August 13th and set up the final charge to the championship.

The penultimate event on the schedule will take place on Saturday, August 27th at Sauble Speedway. This will be the first time Sauble Speedway has hosted the second to last event on the schedule. The 2022 season will conclude at Delaware Speedway on Saturday, September 24th.
