BOWMANVILLE, ON (January 9, 2019) – With tickets now officially on sale, Canadian Tire Motorsport Park (CTMP) is excited to announce the 2019 major event schedule.
The season begins with the Castrol Victoria Day SpeedFest on May 17 to 19, featuring the NASCAR Pinty’s Series, the Blancpain GT World Challenge and the Pirelli GT4 America Series. Three Canadian series – the Canadian Touring Car Championship, the Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Canada by Yokohama, and the Nissan Micra Cup Series – will add to the vast lineup on this exciting first weekend of racing at Canada’s Legendary Home of Motorsports.
Next is the VARAC Vintage Grand Prix on June 14 to 16, the perfect way to spend Father’s Day with dad and the whole family. The weekend includes three days of vintage car racing as well as the Field of Dreams Car Show, and much more!
The sights and sounds of the incredible IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship make their way north of the border to CTMP from July 4 to 7 for the Mobil 1 SportsCar Grand Prix. Also racing that weekend is the newly named IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge, the IMSA Prototype Challenge, and the Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Canada by Yokohama for their second appearance of the year at CTMP. You do not want to miss this incredible weekend of racing. Will we see the overall track record broken this year?
The August 9 to 11 weekend brings the Superbike Doubleheader with the MOPAR Canadian Superbike Championship. Canada’s top motorcycle riders compete in a double-race weekend to decide national titles in multiple classes. This weekend continues to produce some of the most competitive, heart-pounding races we see at CTMP all year.
Finally, NASCAR’s Gander Outdoors Truck Series returns once again to CTMP on August 23 to 25 for the Chevrolet Silverado 250. This has become one of the most competitive and anticipated NASCAR races of the calendar on our legendary road course. Joining the trucks will be the NASCAR Pinty’s Series for the TOTAL Quartz 200. As well the Nissan Micra Cup, Canadian Touring Car Championship, and the Toyo Tires F1600 Championship will round out the weekend lineup. This will no doubt be the biggest and busiest event of the season!
We can’t wait to get our 2019 season underway, and we hope you can join us this year! Remember kids 16 and under are always free when accompanied by a paying adult. For more information or to buy tickets please visit canadantiremotorsportpark.com
