SANTA ANA, CA. – Yokohama Tire has once again been named as the Official Tire Supplier for 2021 Nitro Rallycross (Nitro RX). Returning after a one-year hiatus, the five-race, adrenaline-fueled series that features all-wheel-drive, 600-plus horsepower vehicles, standing starts and 100-foot-plus jumps, will feature the ADVAN® A054 tire from Yokohama. The action begins September 24 at Utah Motorsports Campus near Salt Lake City.

Nitro RX utilizes innovative, purpose-built tracks that feature some of the world’s best drivers, like Yokohama-sponsored Travis Pastrana, battling for the top spot. Besides Utah, this year’s Nitro RX races will take place in Nevada, Minnesota, Arizona and Florida. Details at https://nitrorallycross.com/.

“We’re ready to race,” said Fardad Niknam, Yokohama’s senior director of consumer product planning and product marketing. “The ADVAN A054 was specifically engineered for the high demands of rallycross. It features an FIA-approved groove pattern and incorporates an ultra-stiff construction with a high-traction compound – perfect for the variable surfaces and giant jumps.”

Along with Nitro RX, Yokohama’s extensive list of 2021 North American-based motorsports activities – both on- and off-road – includes the Porsche Sprint Challenge North America by Yokohama, Porsche Pikes Peak Trophy by Yokohama, Yokohama Drivers Cup USA, Global Time Attack and Super Lap Battle USA, SCORE, Crandon International Raceway sponsorship, Subaru Mt. Washington Hillclimb presented by Yokohama Tire, One Lap of America, 24 Hours of Lemons, Subaru Motorsports USA partnership, Yokohama NORRA Mexican 1000, Yokohama Tire Jeepspeed Race Series, TrophyLite Series, Championship Off-Road Series Partnership and Yokohama Sonora Rally.
