Trois-Rivieres, QC – Jean-Francois Dumoulin will be behind the wheel of the n. 04 Manac/Bellemare/ACASS/Somavrac Dodge at the NAPA Autopro “100” event in Montreal this Saturday. Having previously raced there several times the circuit Gilles-Villeneuve, this road course is well known to Dumoulin, while skilfully alternating as a driver and professional driving instructor – regularly solicited by recognized teams for highly renowned events and the most prestigious racing schools.
“I’m very happy to compete again in Montreal. The NAPA is an important event for us, especially as our fans are in the stands. We would like to thank the partners who joined the team at the last minute, as otherwise I would not have participated in this event with Dumoulin Competition. Money is the deciding factor in this field,” said the n°04 Manac/ Bellemare/ ACASS/ Somavrac Dodge driver.
In 2011, Jean-Francois Dumoulin crossed the Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve finish line in ninth place due to carburetor complications (7th starting position). With last weeks’ performance at the Grand Prix of Trois-Rivieres (GP3R – sixth place), the Quebecer is confident to be with the leaders, amongst the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series regulars.
“We fight against teams that take part in all of the seasons’ events. This is a very competitive series and I will have participated in three events this year [ICAR, GP3R, NAPA],” said Dumoulin. “The goal is to qualify amongst the first, and of course be in the leading group.”
