TORONTO, ON- On a night dedicated to celebrating Ontario short track racing’s brightest stars, M3 Motorsports driver Scott McTeer was center stage, accepting a pair of awards for his phenomenal 2013 campaign at Sauble Speedway.
“I can’t express how proud I am of our entire team. None of this is possible without the right support behind you. What our team accomplished this year was phenomenal, I can’t thank them enough” lamented McTeer.
The Tiverton, ON driver entered the 2013 season as the reigning Limited Late Model division champion, earning his first title in just his second year of competition, after moving up from the perennially tough Thunder Car class. McTeer defended his title in style, racking up 7 feature victories en route to his second straight championship.
“Our goal has always been to improve as a team”, explained the soft-spoken veteran. “We always want to be a little better than we were the season before. After our 2012 season, I didn’t know if that was possible, I think we surprised even ourselves in 2013.”
McTeer was invited to the Canadian Motorsports Expo to accept an award honoring him for earning the 2013 Sauble Speedway championship, in addition to taking place on the year-end ‘Inside Track Power Rankings’ as one of the province’s top-10 competitors.
“Sharing the stage with so many fellow champions was a humbling experience”, admitted McTeer. “Earning a spot on the Power Rankings was especially gratifying. To know that we’re viewed as one of the top-10 teams in all of Ontario is the best motivation of all.”
M3 Motorsports’ familiar #49 will return to Sauble Speedway in 2014, with McTeer once again at the helm, in search of a third straight championship. Marketing support for their campaign will come from Lake Huron Rod & Gun, SecretsOfTuscany.com, Expressway Trucks and Carey Optical.
