@SCornettChing • DENVER, N.C. (Sept. 17, 2015) — NASCAR K&N Pro Series and ARCA Racing Series driver Sarah Cornett-Ching has announced a new partnership with the Tim Horton Children’s Foundation (THCF) that will begin immediately.

To kick off the new relationship, the British Columbia native will sport a special paint scheme on the No. 2 Chevrolet at Kentucky Speedway on September 25, featuring the Foundation’s Send A Kid To Camp campaign (www.sendakidtocamp.com).

“This is an exciting opportunity for me and my team,” said Cornett-Ching, a native Canadian who grew up spending time at Tim Hortons in her homeland. “It’s no secret that I’m a huge fan of Tim Hortons, and to have the chance to represent them with our No. 2 Tim Horton Children’s Foundation Chevrolet is a huge honor.”

“We at the Tim Horton Children’s Foundation are very excited to be working with Sarah and her team for the upcoming ARCA race at Kentucky and beyond,” said Jacob Chewning, general manager at Tim Horton Camp Kentahten. “Sarah possesses a lot of the qualities that we teach at our camps, which makes her a great fit for our organization. We look forward to driving awareness and involvement with our camps and growing our partnership together for the foreseeable future.”

The Tim Horton Children’s Foundation is committed to providing enriching camp experiences that develop lifelong skills for children and youth from low-income families. The organization maintains seven campsites across the United States and Canada, including one in Campbellsville, Kentucky (Camp Kentahten), a short drive from Kentucky Speedway.

“I had the opportunity to hear some of the stories from campers at Camp Kentahten last week and it was heart-warming to hear all the neat things they do at camp,” said Cornett-Ching. “There are so many things they never get the opportunity to experience in their young lives, but the camp environment makes it possible for them. It’s inspiring to see their faces light up when they learn something new or do something they never thought possible.”

In an effort to boost the Send A Kid To Camp campaign, Cornett-Ching will also be carrying an in-car camera for the Fox Sports 1 broadcast of the Kentucky event featuring the THCF logo and website where fans can make donations to the Foundation. Donations of all sizes are accepted and fans may also choose to donate their time as a camp volunteer as well.

“The values instilled in kids at these camps are things I had to put into practice in order to launch my racing career to where it is,” Cornett-Ching explained. “I think it’s important for anyone, kids especially, to see that no matter what your background or current situation is, you can accomplish your dreams if you’re willing to work towards them and, as many campers have said, ‘just give it a try.’ I’m fortunate enough to now be in a position where I can be a role model and mentor for these children.”

The September 25 event at Kentucky Speedway where Cornett-Ching will debut the new partnership is the penultimate round for the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards. The race, featuring the THCF in-car camera, can be seen live on Friday night, Sept. 25 on Fox Sports 1.

About Tim Horton Children’s Foundation: Founded by restaurant co-founder Ron Joyce, the Tim Horton Children’s Foundation was established in 1974 to honor Tim Horton’s love for children and his desire to help those less fortunate. Their programs are designed to change the way young people from economically disadvantaged homes think about themselves and the opportunities that exist for them. By the end of 2015, the THCF will have served more than 215,000 children since its inception in 1974.
