@NASCARHomeTrack • @andrew_ranger • St. Eustache, QC (July 26, 2015) In dramatic fashion Andrew Ranger and the #27 Mopar Parts Dodge team fought their way to victory in round number seven of the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series on Saturday night at the Autodrome St. Eustache just outside Montreal, Quebec.

In a two-lap dash to the finish Ranger came out on top and moved into sole possession of third place in the overall championship standings.

During practice the #27 Mopar Parts Dodge wasn’t to the liking of Ranger.  “The car just didn’t feel very strong and I wasn’t too optimistic,” stated Ranger.

After qualifying 12th Ranger began moving the #27 Mopar Parts Dodge forward right from the beginning of the 250-feature event.  He moved into the top ten and continued his push toward the front of the field.

“The team made some improvements and I just pushed as hard as I could,” said the driver.

As the race progressed Ranger moved the #27 Mopar Parts Dodge into the top five and had the leader of the race in sight.

“I worked hard every single lap to get as much out of the car as I could and things were going our way,” he stated.

The leader of the race had a mechanical issue and Ranger was quick to pounce and put the #27 Mopar Parts Dodge out front on lap 232 and worked to build the lead.  Several late caution periods slowed the field and the final yellow flag set up a green, white, checkered finish to the event with Ranger restarting in second position.

With only two laps to get back out front Ranger powered the #27 Mopar Parts Dodge ahead and pushing the car into the lead and crossing the finish line less than one tenth of a second ahead of the runner up.

It was an excited and exhausted Ranger celebrating with the #27 Mopar Parts Dodge team in victory lane.

“It was such a tough race,” he stated.  “Both mentally and physically working so hard every lap.  I’m so happy for Mopar Motorsports to get our first victory of the year, the team worked very hard for it and it’s so great to enjoy it with them” he added.

Broadcast Info:  Fans can tune in to see all the action of round seven from the Autodrome St. Eustache Saturday August 1st at 6:30PM ET on TSN and Saturday August 15th at 2:30PM ET on RDS2.
