@andrew_ranger • @NASCARHomeTrack • @GP3R • (July 29, 2015)- Fresh off a victory last weekend Andrew Ranger and the #27 Mopar Parts Dodge are headed to round number eight of the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series and looking to add to their success.  Ranger is a four-time winner at the Grand Prix of Trois-Rivieres and this weekend he’s looking for number five.

One of the greatest road racing events in North America this year marks the 46th edition of the famed Grand Prix of Trois-Rivieres and Ranger enjoys the spectacle.

“It’s not just the race, a big event, the whole city is behind it.  Racing in front of a lot of family, friends and sponsors, that’s what makes it so special,” said the driver of the #27 Mopar Parts Dodge.

The Series has raced eight times at the Grand Prix of Trois-Rivieres and Ranger has won or finished as runner up in each race.  So the #27 Mopar Parts pilot is thrilled to be back again this year.

“Not everybody likes the concrete walls all around the track,” explained Ranger.  “It’s got high speed corners, technical parts, you slide around, it’s a big challenge,” he added.

Ranger feels he also has a little unfinished business from last year at Trois-Rivieres.

“I was right on the bumper of the leader at the end but we had the red flag end the race and I didn’t get a chance to make a move so we finished second.  I know the Mopar Parts Dodge is really good there and it we want to be the winner this time”.

Andrew Ranger and the #27 Mopar Parts Dodge will be on track for two practice sessions and qualifying on Saturday August 1st.  The 50-lap feature race goes Sunday, August 2nd at 2PM ET.

Broadcast Info:  Fans can tune in to see all the action from the Grand Prix of Trois-Rivieres live on RDS2 and on TSN Saturday August 15th at 1:30PM ET.

Race fans can also get more information and follow the #27 Mopar Parts Dodge team all season by going to www.mopar.ca and clicking on Motorsports.
