#NCATS * @andrew_ranger * Andrew Ranger and the #27 Mopar Parts Dodge team return to action this weekend for round number nine of the NASCAR Canadian Tire series with a plan to complete a mission that fell a little short earlier this season.

In the opening round of the 2014 season on the famed road course at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park (CTMP) Ranger recorded a new track qualifying record but had difficulties during the race on opening weekend.  They’re expecting to correct that this weekend as the series returns for the second time to the 10 turn road course and Ranger seeks his third series victory at CTMP.

“We had a very fast car the first time out this season but we had a little problem, it happens” said the two time series champion.  “But I’m looking forward to coming back this weekend with Team Mopar and racing this weekend” he added.

As the series crisscrossed the country for events over the last few months Ranger has collected two victories and posted five top five results moving into a tie for second in the overall championship.  The #27 Mopar Parts Dodge driver looks to continue his move upwards in the standings.

“Everyone on the whole DJK Racing team has been working really hard to have a strong car each weekend, we’ll have a lot of good cars and drivers in the field so we’ll have a fight on our hands” said Ranger.

Action begins this weekend for the #27 Mopar Parts Dodge team with practice and qualifying on Saturday at CTMP.  The Clarington 200 race will take place Sunday morning prior to the NASCAR Truck series race.
