#NCATS * @andrew_ranger * Andrew Ranger and the #27 Mopar Parts Dodge team are hoping to continue their push toward a third championship with a return to victory lane this weekend at Riverside International Speedway near Antigonish, NS during round number eight of the NASCAR Canadian Tire series.

Ranger collected his third podium result of the season finishing in the runner up spot this past weekend in his #27 Mopar Parts Dodge at the Grand Prix of Trois-Rivieres.  The Roxton Pond, Quebec native has won the event on four previous occasions or finished as runner up in the other four series events that have been run on the famed track.

“It was tough to receive a penalty (for jumping the start) I don’t think I did but NASCAR made the call, we just came up one spot short from the win,” stated Ranger.

During his 2009 championship season Ranger was victorious on the 1/3 mile banked oval at Riverside that was modeled after Bristol Motor Speedway.

“I’m looking forward to getting to Riverside again,” said Ranger.  “It’s a fun track to race on you can go side by side and our Mopar Dodge has been running really strong so I’m sure we’ll be right there.”

The #27 Mopar Dodge team has been building momentum all season long and expect to continue that trend this weekend.

“The car that DJK Racing has given me has been great this year. We’re just four points behind second in the standings and I think we have a really good chance to gain this weekend,” he stated.

Andrew Ranger and the #27 Mopar Parts Dodge hit the track for practice and qualifying Saturday afternoon and the green flag flies at Riverside International Speedway near Antigonish, NS this Saturday night at 8:00 PM local time.

Race fans can get more information and follow the #27 Mopar Parts Dodge team all season by going to www.mopar.ca and clicking on Motorsports.
