MONTREAL, QC - May 29, 2012 - The Grand Prix ICAR Lucas Oil presented by Budweiser will feature the second race of the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series this coming weekend (June 2 and 3) at the road course just North of Montreal.

TROIS-RIVIERES, QC - May 30, 2012 – The Mirabel event was not in Jean-Francois Dumoulin's 2012 calendar. Continuously searching for major partnerships to participate in the 2012 NASCAR Canadian Tire Series road circuit and Montreal's Nationwide events (August 18th and 19th), it is with our partners' support that the eldest of the Dumoulin brothers will be on the track alongside Louis-Philippe at the ICAR Lucas Oil Grand Prix presented by Budweiser.

FRASERVILLE, ON - Throughout its brief five year history, the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series has more often than not come to the season’s final event at Kawartha Speedway with the top spot in points still up for grabs. 

BOWMANVILLE, Ont. (May 20, 2012) – J.R. Fitzpatrick ended a 20-winless streak to pick up his first win since July 25, 2010 – and it wasn't easy as he held off D.J. Kennington in the final turn at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park to win the Vortex Brake Pads 200 in the season-opener for the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series Sunday.

Louis-Philippe Dumoulin will begin his first complete season in the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series this weekend in Bowmanville, Ontario. A road course synonymous of success, it is with confidence that he will be at the wheel of the n°47 WeatherTech Canada/Bellemare car. The 2011 Rookie of the Year NCATS champion will be at the wheel of a Dodge Challenger (Chassis-Leavitt 2010) : "The practice sessions on May 10th went well. We were amongst the fastest. There were a lot of caution flags but in a short period of time we were able to make several improvements to the car. We are satisfied with the performance of the car and are looking forward to take the wheel this weekend," he mentioned.

The 2012 NASCAR Canadian Tire Series opening event takes place this weekend at the Canadian Tire Motorsports Park (Formerly Mosport International Raceway) this coming weekend. Driver of the #60 Mopar Parts/Mobil 1/Exide Batteries Dodge Ron Beauchamp Jr. and the team have worked hard at preparations during the off season and expect solid results this weekend and all season long.

Two-time NASCAR Canadian Tire Series champion Andrew Ranger, will compete in the 2012 NASCAR Canadian Tire Series driving the GC Motorsports International (GCMI) #27 Dodge Charger. GCMI is excited to announce Dodge Dealers of Quebec have come on board to partner in a season long sponsorship of the talented French Canadian driver. Ranger will get the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series season underway with the Vortex Brake Pads 200 race on May 19-20 on the 2.5-mile road course at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park, formerly Mosport International Raceway in Bowmanville, Ontario.

NASCAR Veterans, Kerry Micks and Mark Dilley, announced today that they will make a joint effort at the 2012 NASCAR Canadian Tire Series Owners Championship, in their #02 Ford Fusions owned by Micks Motorsports. Kerry Micks will compete in the five road course events and Mark Dilley will drive at the seven ovals that make up the 2012 schedule.

The NASCAR Canadian Tire Series, Canada's premier racing series, will have all of its 2012 events telecast in English and French on TSN, TSN2 and RDS2.TSN, Canada's Sports Leader, has been the series' television home since the series' inception in 2007, while RDS2 is airing races for a second straight season.
