Thompson was the quickest in time trials with a lap of 20.627 seconds ahead of Tom Walters (20.668), Tyler Hawn (20.675), Jesse Kennedy (20.708), and Brandon Robertson (20.847). though with an invert in play, Steve Book would start pole ahead of Robertson, Kennedy, Hawn, and Walters. Thompson started sixth, followed by Adrian Foster, Jeremy McLean, Paul Boundy, and Doug Wilson.
Rob Wark qualified 11th, followed by Matt Hopkins, Dalen Martin, Bob Parsons, Nick Clarke, Ryan Cowan, Dan Rothwell, Bill Clarke, and Rob Bromley. Scott Beatty was in attendance, but ran into motor problems during practice.
Book would grab the early advantage ahead of Walters and Hawn, but the caution flew for Robertson going around in turns one and two. The second attempt to start the event was clean, with Walters leading Book, Hawn, Thompson, Foster, and McLean as Kennedy slowed with a problem.
Book would challenge Walters for the top spot on Lap 4, but was unable to complete the pass, as Hawn remained third ahead of Thompson, Foster, McLean, Boundy, Wilson, and Wark. Haw would challenge Book for second on Lap 8, but was unable to complete the pass.
The race’s first caution would come out on Lap 12 for Cowan going around in turn four. The yellow flag period was extended into a short red flag delay due to cleaning fuel laid down by Martin.
The restart would see the top two, Walters and Book, battle for the lead, with Thompson and Hawn side-by-side for third ahead of Foster, Bromley, and Robertson, as Parsons slowed with a problem. Walters maintained his advantage, with Thompson challenging Book for second on Lap 17 ahead of Hawn, Foster, Bromley, Robertson, Boundy, and Hopkins.
There’d be a shuffle at the front of the field on Lap 20, with Walters and Thompson side-by-side for the top spot, as Book now battled Hawn for third. Thompson took over the lead a lap later, with Hawn alongside Walters for second ahead of Book. It’d be tight as they went by the lap car of Rothwell, with Walters holding serve as Book challenged Hawn for third. Behind them, Foster ran fifth with Robertson alongside Bromley and passing him for sixth on Lap 27.
Trevor Thompson led the rest of the way en route to the victory ahead of Tom Walters, Tyler Hawn, Steve Book, and Adrian Foster. Brandon Robertson finished sixth, followed by Rob Bromley, Paul Boundy, Matt Hopkins, and Doug Wilson. Bill Clarke placed 11th, followed by Rob Wark, Dan Rothwell, Ryan Cowan, Bob Parsons, Jeremy McLean, Nick Clarke, Dalen Martin, Jesse Kennedy, and Scott Beatty.
