October 3, 2013- A solid field of 26 wingless sprint cars hit the track on Saturday night at Pittsburgh Penn Motor Speedway for the final round of the Ontario Topless Sprints Series that was a co-sanctioned event along with the Buckeye Outlaw Sprint Series.

Tony Beaber and Mike Miller led the field to the green flag with Beaber jumping out to the early race lead. After just one lap the race was stopped for a multi car incident as Brandon Spithaler flipped in turn one. Charlie Cornelius, Brent Matus, Steve Little and Dick Mahoney were also involved in the accident.  Beaber continued to lead until lap 13 when Kirk Jeffries made a great move on the outside lane, dropping Beaber to second.  Brandon Matus and Aaron Middaugh would finish second and third, while Beaber and Kody Swanson rounded out the top five.

This event concludes the 2013 season for the Ontario Topless Sprints.  We would like to Congratulate Joey Irwin of Davison, Michigan on becoming the OTS Champion.  Out of 11 scheduled events, we only had one rainout all season, and averaged 17 cars per race.  We had a total of 69 topless Sprints compete with us in at least one event this season.  We thank you all for your support.  OTS would also like to thank Joey Irwin from the Michigan Traditional Sprints and Aaron Fry from the Buckeye Outlaw Sprint Series for their assistance over the season in co-sanctioning events with our club.

"We had a good season, but we will keep working to continue to grow OTS to become even bigger and better in the future", says Ontario Topless Sprints President and Founder Ken Bayliss.  "I really do have to thank all of our drivers, crew members, officials and fans that supported our series and I am already looking forward to next season".
