The Can-Am T.Q. Midgets have revealed their 18-race schedule, which includes five visits to Flamboro Speedway in 2021, including their championship night.
The series will visit the 1/3 mile for their season opener on May 8, before returning on June 5, July 17, and August 21. They will then crown their 2021 Can-Am Midget T.Q. Champion at Flamboro on September 25.
For over 50 years, midget racing has been taking place across North America, with the Can-Am Midget racing group being one of the most successful clubs in both Canada and the United States. These single-seat open-cockpit style cars always seem to draw attention in seeing the determination of the individuals who strap behind the wheel.
The series was only able to visit Flamboro Speedway on a single occasion during the shortened 2020 campaign, but put on a show for the fans watching via the GForceTV. Darren Dryden scored the victory, marking his third win at Flamboro in the last three events, but was heavily challenged throughout including a late-race battle with Daniel Hawn.
The announcement just increases the excitement ahead of 2021 after hearing details revealed surrounding the APC United Late Models & Super Stocks, and NASCAR Pinty’s Series. Of note, the mid-July weekend should be circled on your calendar by now, with the APC United Late Models & Super Stocks and T.Q. Can-Am Midgets scheduled for Saturday, July 17, followed by the Pinty’s Series the next day.
The rest of the details for the entire 2021 schedule will be revealed by track officials closer to the start of the season.
