In the June 6th edition of Spencer Lewis' Inside Track Motorsport News Short Track Notebook, we chat with first time winner 'Cowboy' Dan Price after his momentous trip to Peterborough victory lane on May 31st, check in with 'The Hillsdale Hurricane' Thayne Hallyburton about his team's recent improvements, catch a Lucas Oil Sportsman Cup preview from Mike Nelson and examine the damage suffered by 'The Silencer' Chris Mulders at June 1st' Mini Stock Nationals.

Thunder Car veteran Dan Price brought Peterborough Speedway to its feet on May 31st, when he charged from 7th on the grid to claim his first career feature victory. With 15 seasons of racing to his credit, Price's first ever win was a moment of pure elation for a crowd of supporters that flocked to victory lane to celebrate. We had a chance to catch up with 'Cowboy' Dan the next day and ask what his thoughts were as he wheeled into victory lane. Click here for the interview.

First year Sunset Speedway competitor Thayne Hallyburton (above, by Thompson Photography) has improved in virtually every outing through the first Quarter of 2014. On May 31st, despite being caught in a lap-3 wreck, 'The Hillsdale Hurricane' took the time to chat with us about his team's dedication, the advances they've made over 5 weeks of competition and their plan for Sunset's off week on June 7th. Lucas Oil Sportsman Cup driver Mike Nelson is preparing to make a return to fulltime competition this Saturday, June 7th, when the tour kicks off their 2014 season at Sauble Speedway. The Peterborough, ON driver joined us at Sunday's Mini Stock Nationals to offer a preview of the upcoming LOSC season, the upgrades he's made to his family-run program and his strategy for the 'Sportsman Cup' lid-lifter at Sauble. Click here for Mike's event preview.

Here's a look at 2013 Peterborough Speedway 'Chase for the Colours' winner Chris Mulders car after Sunday's Mini Stock Nationals event at Kawartha Speedway. 'The Silencer' made hard contact with Kawartha's turn-2 retaining wall after battling alongside a fellow competitor, destroying the front end of his Farm Bro. Racing entry. Mulders has confirmed the car is beyond fixing, and hopes to debut a new ride before Peterborough's 2014 installment of the 'Chase for the Colours' on June 29th.
