TORONTO, ON – Starting this January, the Porsche Ice Experience Canada program will allow participants to learn valuable winter driving skills and explore multiple specialized snow and ice “racetracks” at Mécaglisse, a dedicated driving facility outside of Montreal.

Formerly known as Porsche Camp4 Canada, Porsche Ice Experience will consist of a fleet of Porsche 911 models, which will be found carving through the snow, in blatant defiance of the conventional wisdom that says high-performance sports cars should be garaged for the winter.

Using the nearby Estérel Suites, Spa and Lake Hotel as its base, Porsche Ice Experience Canada is ideally situated in one of the most picturesque parts of the country. Participants from Canada, the U.S., and around the world will be treated to spectacular winter scenery and the five-star hospitality for which Porsche Driving Experience events have become known for worldwide.

“We are excited to be hosting our winter driving program in Canada for a ninth year in a row,” said Marc Ouayoun, President and CEO, Porsche Cars Canada, Ltd. “The continued success experienced every year since its inception in 2011 as well as the incredibly positive feedback received from the participants make this the highlight program in the Porsche Experience portfolio in Canada.”

Porsche Ice Experience Canada, featuring the rear-drive 911 Carrera S and all-wheel drive 911 Carrera 4S models, comes in three different flavours: the four-day Ice Intro, five-day Ice Experience, as well as the increased-skill Ice Force. The latter allows participants to up the ante aboard the more powerful 911 Turbo and 911 Turbo S models. No matter what the experience level of the participant, the ultimate goal of both programs is to elevate their driving abilities and confidence through expert instruction. The team is made-up of experienced drivers, to the likes of veteran factory driver Kees Nierop and GT3 Cup Canada 2018 Championship winner Zacharie Robichon.

Porsche Canada will offer three multi-day waves of Ice Intro. Wave 1 runs from January 30 to February 2, 2019; wave 2 on February 1-4; and wave 3 is February 4-7. Only one multi-day wave will be offered for each other program level: Ice Experience on February 8 to 12 and Ice Force on February 15 to 19. Pricing begins at $5,495 for Ice Intro, $6,795 for Ice Experience, $7,995 for Ice Force. All include accommodations, food and transfers between the hotel and the driving centre. Reservations can be made by visiting www.porscheexperience.ca/en/iceexperience/.

Porsche Cars Canada, Ltd., a dedicated subsidiary of Porsche AG, imports and distributes Porsche vehicles in Canada. The company employs a team of more than 50 in sales, aftersales, finance, marketing, network development, and public relations.
