It was a relatively slow week for Danny O’Brien and his team with just one night of racing on their schedule for the weekend. Mohawk Raceway was closed for the week because of their local fair, so it was just Saturday night’s event at Brockville Speedway this week.

After finishing fifth last week at Brockville, Jarrett Herbison was looking forward to returning to the track on Wednesday night and getting back to victory lane after winning the first three races of the season. Herbison also raced at Chapman’s Can Am Motorsports Park on Friday night.

It’s not the name he was given at birth, but there aren’t many DIRTcar racing fans that aren’t familiar with the handle ‘Stockcar Steve’. Logging over 41 years in the sport, including most of his career at the controls of a small block modified, Steve Bilow has achieved legendary status at area speedways.

If you are looking to find the most improved driver this season in the Sportsman division, you don’t have to look any further then Jessica Power. After picking up her first win of the season last week at Brockville Speedway, Power backed that up with a pair of top five finishes this week at Mohawk Raceway on Thursday night, and Brockville Speedway on Saturday night.

Over the past four seasons, Kyle Dingwall has struggled to find the on-track success that he had been accustomed to throughout his racing career. Bad luck and just being at the wrong place at the wrong time had a lot to do with that, and lack of funding also played a contributing role.

BROCKVILLE, ON - It was a case of girl Power beating the boys at their own game on Saturday night at Brockville Ontario Speedway. Kingston's Jessica Power scored her second career Sportsman victory pulling away both times on late restarts to preserve her victory. It was sweet moment on Father's Day as mom and dad Power have been a big part of Jessica's racing career from day one.

MAY 29, 2012 - After his best career finish at Brockville Speedway just one week ago, Luke Stewart returned once again this week looking to for another top ten, and build some momentum going into the first full month of the 2012 season.

MAY 29, 2012 - With a pair of top ten finishes to start the year at Brockville, and a 14th place finish in the Mr. DIRTcar 358 Series race at Cornwall last week, Kyle Dingwall was looking to improve on that when he returned to the track this past weekend.  Once again, Brockville and Cornwall would be his destination of choice.

MAY 29, 2012 - It was only a matter of time before Matt Billings picked up his first win of 2012.  With sixth consecutive top ten finishes to start the season, Billings was off to a strong start, and a trip to victory lane was imminent. 

BROCKVILLE, ON - Matt Billings put two and two together faster than anyone else on Saturday night at Brockville Ontario Speedway. The hometown hero figured out half through the 30 lap 358 Modified feature that the high side was the fastest way around the Beast of the East and the result was his first win of 2012.
