Overall we lacked pace, and early on the balance of the car in the dirty air was very difficult. Things improved as the race wore on, but generally it was a tricky race for me and the team.
Irrespective of today’s result, it has been an amazing experience having my rookie year with a team like Williams. They are a fantastic group of people, both trackside and at the factory.
Even faced with a crazy year like this, which presented so many fresh challenges, they have always worked at 100 per cent. As a driver that’s all you can ask for, knowing everyone is behind you, even when things have been difficult. It is a privilege to represent every single one of them.
I think everybody's ready for a well-earned Christmas break now. I can't wait to go home and catch up with the friends and family I’ve not been able to see due to the restrictions. It will be a chance to recharge the batteries before we step up preparations for 2021 - and hopefully the return to a more normal season.
I'll be posting more updates in the next few weeks, so look out for those, but for now thanks for all of your support throughout the year – it really does mean a lot."
