White is returning to Daytona to work with two teams where he’s had very positive experiences. First with Andy Hillenburg and Fast Track Racing to run the Powder Ventures Excavating / YourGMCTruckStore.com Chevrolet in the ARCA Racing Series event.
“We’ve already done some testing together and things went very well” said Jason White. “Last year we worked our strategy and were looking good for at least a top-ten finish when we got caught up in an incident late in the race. We’re looking to close the deal this year” he added.
In the Gander Outdoor Truck Series White will team with Reaume Brothers Racing and pilot the Powder Ventures Excavating / YourGMCTruckStore.com Chevrolet. After partnering together successfully in the past, the team failed to qualify a year ago and that’s got everyone motivated.
“We have some unfinished business” said White. “We just missed on speed last year getting in, but in the draft the truck ran well. So, everybody’s upped their game this year and once we do get in, I’ve got some other drivers that I’ve already connected with and we’ll be able to draft well together,” he stated.
Completing this “Daytona Double” will be another significant accomplishment for the B.C. racer who last year became the first western Canadian driver to participate in 100 NASCAR Pinty’s Series events.
“I never could have imagined all the amazing experiences I’d have and all the wonderful people I’d meet over the years in racing” said White. “It wouldn’t be possible without my family who have been so supportive. And my family of partners like Rob Zimmer and the Zimmer Auto Group. Sharing all this with everyone is what makes it really special”.
