The penultimate round of the 2019 season is another crucial one for the EpiPen/RONA number 18 entry, which is in hard-fought battle for fourth place in the car owner championship, with a third-place finish still a strong possibility. Following his drive in the number 18 Chevrolet in Saint-Eustache two weeks ago, Team 22 Racing owner Scott Steckly has come to realized that they need to improve on the oval track set-ups for the team’s Chevrolets. For the past two weeks, they have been hard at work to fix the issue.
In the meantime, Tagliani hopes to be ready to return to competition for the final race of the 2019 NASCAR Pinty’s season which will be held the weekend of September 28 on the 5/8-mile Jukasa Motor Speedway oval track located in Hagersville, near Hamilton, Ontario.
“I’m quickly getting back into racing shape,” said the Quebec driver, “but I must first pass a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) test and then go through a treadmill workout next week. If everything goes according to plan, I hope to be cleared to run at Jukasa.”
