Lynch, a second-generation racer, is returning to the track as a competitor in 2013. In the video, he discusses his history at Kawartha and his plans for the future. NEW HAMPSHIRE - It was a racing experience he knows he'll never forget. After weeks of preparation and long hours spent in the garage getting the car ready for the trip, Bryan Mercer can look back fondly at his first ever start in the Bond Auto Parts Showdown - the 2012 edition of the American-Canadian Tour Invitational - Saturday, September 22nd at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. The Port Hope, Ontario racer was 7th fastest during the final practice session and started the 50 lap shootout from 14th position.

FRASERVILLE, ON - Championship hardware for Kawartha Speedway's 3 regular classes was at the trophy shop, waiting for the year's final checkered flags so the 2012 division winners could have their names engraved on the Hasiuk Trailer and Container Rental Mini Stock, Thunder Car and NAPA Auto Parts ACT Late Model awards. The season was scheduled to wrap-up Friday, September 7th, but Mother Nature's predicted heavy rains and thunderstorms stepped-in to postpone the celebration.

PETERBOROUGH, ON – Mother nature has wiped away OSCAAR Super Late Model and Modified racing at Kawartha Speedway for Friday, September 7. A forecast of heavy rains in the Peterborough area surrounding the track of forced promoter Derek Lynch to cancel this evening's competition. The 75-Lap Don Biederman, which was scheduled to headline the show, has been rescheduled along with the remainder of the scheduled events for next Friday, September 14. The race will run an identical schedule to that planned for this evening, with racing set to begin at 6:00pm and the pit gate opening for competitors at 3:00pm.
